Playtech launches new mobile gaming platform

Online casino software developer Playtech have just announced the launch of their new mobile gaming platform.

They are calling their new platform Mobile Web Apps, and it has a couple of key features that improve on Playtech's existing games.  The first is the ability for players to seamlessly play between PC and mobile games at a give Playtech casino using the same login.

The other key advantage of the new games will be the ability to play them in 'browser play' mode, avoiding the need for game downloads.  From a handset compatibility point of view, Mobile Web Apps has been developed with smart phones like iPhone, iPod Touch and Android in mind to appeal to the tech-savvy playing market.

Playtech's existing mobile game suite of a dozen games will be available on the new platform, and three new games are scheduled for release in coming months - Pop Bingo, Keno and Rock Paper Scissors.
